Help With Itunes & Ipod Touch Please?
I have a windows 7 64 bit and in order to use my new ipod touch, I had to update to the newest version of itunes (10.5.2). The update wouldn’t install, and I have spent days trying all of the following (multiple times!!):
updated and repaired .Net framework
updated MS windows
uninstalled itunes and all apple products
deleted temporary folders
cleaned out registry
restarted computer
I am currently getting the following errors when I try to install itunes
During the publishing and product information:
error during the install of assembly policy 80 microsoft VC80.CRT type “win32-policy”. version=”8.0.50727.6195 public key token=”1fc8b3b9ale18e3b”. processor architectureX86. please refer to help and support for more information. HRESULT Ox…
If I say OK, then the install goes backward, then moves on and gives me:
service “apple movle device” failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privilages to start system
If I ignore that, the when the installation is finished,
Apple application support was not found. uninstall itunes and then install itunes again. Error 2 (windows error 2)
I can’t find what to do from apple or microsoft sites other than what I have already done.
Safe To Reuse Hdd On Reformat & Windows Install?
I’m helping a friend fix their computer that became infected with viruses and has some registry errors,I have a copy of Windows Vista, but is it safe to reuse the same HDD again on a clean install of Windows? I am also asking this because hard drives are currently expensive for the capacity per $ compared to a few months ago.
Wifi Stays Stuck At 1mbps?
Ok, so I looked up on the internet for a registry fix because something is wrong with my wifi and someone said this but I cant figure out what he means by “associated SSID”. Where’s that located?
He said the following:
“Anyway, basically it’s a registry issue. Go into the registry and do a search for the associated SSID. In the same key should be a dword or something for the transRate. It’ll be set to 1. Just set it to 54. Repeat the search and replace any more occurrences (I think there were 2 total). Ignore any hits that don’t have a transRate dword.”
Why Does Me Computer Keep Freezing Every So Often?
Every now and then, I’ll be doing whatever I’m doing on my computer such as a game or Facebook or schoolwork and then all of a sudden my computer will freeze. First it will be Firefox or whatever program I am on that doesn’t respond but the computer itself will not respond – the task-bar at the bottom of the screen doesn’t respond, then when i press ctrl alt delete, it doesn’t work and goes to a black screen and then something comes up that says that ctrl alt delete does not work at this time, or something to that extent..I don’t know what it is, I have looked up many things but I am not sure what it could be.
I got this computer as a graduation gift in June 2010, so it is not old at all.
Here are the specs of my computer:
Gateway FX
i7 Processor – 860 @ 2.80 GHz
8 GB RAM
64-bit operating system (Windows 7)
Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
1 TB Hard Drive
This is why I don’t believe it is the performance of the computer..but I can’t understand what it could be. Some sites say that it could be the registry but I have a program for that already and have used it – i have ParetoLogic PC Health Advisor – and it still happens.
Also I don’t think it is a virus as I have scanned my computer fully with my trend micro antivirus, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
Any ideas as to waht the problem could be? I don’t believe the computer came with a windows 7 disc so if it comes down to me having to reinstall the operating system, how would I go about doing that?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!

no unless your vista disc is a recovery disc that holds the drivers as well
How To Fix A Corrupted Ati Driver?
My computer suffers from overheating. It occurred many times in the past.
Specs:
Dell studio 1747
intel 720Q 1.6Ghz
ATI radeon HD 4650
After using the laptop i found out that it’s brand has a overheating issue due to its power supply. Although i was unable to get a replacement power adapter and still will not be able to. More recently my computer has been crashing and i don’t think it is due to its overheating issue. When i play games like skyrim on medium or even low graphics it gives me a blue screen of death and does a memory dump. On the top i noticed it said something about a corrupted driver. Many times in the past Windows 7 also said my ATI driver stopped working. Now i think due to this corrupted ATI driver i get crashes.
Any way to fix this corrupted driver?
PS when my computer crashes it not that hot. I also have a cooling fan. I will also not be able to buy anything but i am willing to mess with my registry or download anything freeware
